From April 5, Starz movie channel will rebrand. The premium network cable will have a new tagline and a new logo – Starz:Obsessable.
It was the fun engagement of Outlander that inspired the creation of the tagline Obsessable.
The re-branding of the network will be actualized just four days before the premier of Outlander season 2, one of the cable’s most popular shows.
Sister station Encore is being dawn under the Starz umbrella with a new name and programming strategy.
Encore-branded channel will be christened Starz Encore and will air previous seasons alongside the network’s library of classic films.
“I liken it to taking the house down to the studs and rebuilding it. Every aspect of the house when you move in has to be done. So all of that stuff is on that same timeline.” Said Jeffrey Hirsch, Starz’s Global Marketing and Product Planning president. Mr. Jeffrey initiated the rebranding project shortly after joining the network from Time Warner Cable.
